I am originally from the beautiful country of South Africa, born and raised in the quaint town of Paarl close to Cape Town.
In 2006 I graduated from Dermatech Health and Skin Care Institute. I have an immense passion and enthusiasm for this industry, people and travelling.
During my studies I worked in various spa’s around the Cape Town area, in my last year at Dermatech the opportunity to partly manage the small salon Laposada located in Franschhoek crossed my path, needless to say I grabbed it with both hands.
After graduation, my career choice was simple due to my love for travelling; I joined the Cruise Liners in 2007 working onboard the Norwegian Majesty, Carnival Pride, Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Pearl. I sailed my way around America, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, St. Thomas, Bahamas, Alaska and France to name a few – magical memories that I will always keep very near to my heart.
Upon completion of my contracts I returned home for a 6 month holiday before hopping on the plane bound for Dubai to work at SBL.
I have a big passion for anatomy both of the skin and body as well as for psychology, which also forms an important part of this industry. I have a holistic approach to the industry, ‘treating’ the mind, body and soul to achieve complete balance.
The Health and Skin Care industry is fascinating, exciting industry with ongoing change and improvement due to further research and science, as a therapist I also find a feeling of constant growth and welcome it into my daily life.
